Still Here!

This break from work and school has been everything I hoped it would be. It has been so nice spending time with my husband, seeing family, eating good food, celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and welcoming in the New Year. I hope that you all have had a safe and happy holiday as well. I took a few pictures over the break that I thought would sum up the fun we have been having pretty well. Here you go!

The day we left our little home in Logan.

In-law's house. (Before presents.)
In-law's house. (After presents.) Not sure how I managed to get feet in each picture :) Check out the stocking I made Sage! It is on the far left of the mantle. I have  one just like it. The white fabric is super soft.
Temple Square visit with my side of the family.
Beautiful Salt Lake City Temple.
Tucanos Brazilian Grill with In-Law's. (Celebrating my father-in-law's birthday) Delicious grilled pineapple.
Skype video call with brother-in-law on a mission to Chile.
Cute sister-in-law and mother-in-law playing Jenga during Skype call.
Back in Logan now and still playing Jenga. Thank you Holly! Had no idea that Sage loved it so much.
First day with Naomi for the semester! Naomi and I have been good friends for a little over a year now. Here is a picture of her the first week I began my nanny job last year:
Love this little darling.
We have a lot of fun together.

And that is what we have been up to for the past few weeks.
Have a great Day!

Ps. I have finally updated the About Me tab! Took me a while to get those baby pictures. Click here to check it out.

Final note: For those who were keeping track, I have not posted the remaining twelve dates of Christmas. I was having too much fun to post all of them. (that and I just stopped counting!)

Thanksgiving Recap & Our Early Christmas Present!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. Sage and I sure did. We traveled to Lolo, Montana so spend Thanksgiving with my family. (We sure missed you Kelley, Chris, Molly, Brock, Brooklyn, Zachary, Matthew, Heidi, Jacob, Paige, Joseph, Nanny, and Poppop!) Here are a few photos of our stay there.

We all stayed at my sister Sara's house. She and her husband Ken were so great to have us all there.

The "grownups" enjoyed playing Apples to Apples at night when the kids were all in bed, or watching a movie. From left to right, Daniel (brother), Brook (brother), Hannah (sister), Sara (sister), Mom, Tasha (sister-in-law, married to Daniel), Amy (sister), and Sage (husband).

We made little turkey and acorn treats with the kids one afternoon. Very fun and easy!

Cute little Grace (niece) posing for a picture with the treats.

Benjamin (nephew) asked me to take a picture of his turkey. I think he liked it.

Brook (brother) and Payton (nephew) blending up a yummy shake for our Traditional Robison Family Shake off.

Sample shakes. (And anxious taste testers!)

Sorry this is blurry. These are all of the presentation shakes. (Ours is in the white Mug! Pumpkin Pie shake with a small slice of pumpkin pie on the. Complete with whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg.

Winning Shake made by Brook. Apple Cinnamon Pie shake topped with Apple Cinnamon Cheerios.

The shake off clean up.
Not pictured is our delicious Thanksgiving Dinner, our walk around the neighborhood, The Sock Swap, Black Friday shopping, jewelry making lessons from Amy, Pizza night,  and the everyday fun we had there. What a great Thanksgiving weekend!

Also, I failed to credit the photos on the pre-Thanksgiving post. They were found on KSL. But good news! All of today's pictures were taken by ME! Using our early Christmas present! I am having so much fun with our new little Camera. Here a a picture of it (that I did not take):

We shopped our first Black Friday to get this cute little camera. We are very pleased with it. It has A fun panorama feature that I used to take the first and last photo on this post with.

Did anyone else get a new toy this Black Friday? I would love to hear about it.

Have a great day everyone and good luck studying for finals week all of you students our there!

Photography and Design

I had a great time yesterday with my good friend Mirranda. I needed some help with an Interior Design assignment and she and her camera were so sweet to lend a hand. Above are some of the pictures I took for fun but I also wanted to share this assignment with you because I had so much fun with it!

To help us understand how designers do what they do, we took a closer look at inspiration. We were supposed to take a picture of something that inspired us to create a pattern and another picture to inspire the colors we would use in our pattern. And then we were to use those photos to design a textile (on the computer) and pick something to put this textile on (this picture could be taken form the internet). Here is what I did:

Pattern Inspiration (a part of the fence at the Logan Temple)

Color Inspiration (Snap Dragons by the Logan Temple)

Textile Design (created from the pattern of the fence and the colors of the flowers above)

End Use (if I were to actually make my design into a textile I would turn it into this raincoat)

And that is my assignment. Thanks for stopping by Boman Made today! Come again soon.

*All images int his post were taken by me (Emma Boman) except for the yellow raincoat which was borrowed from this website.
